SCIENTIA MORALITAS - International Journal of Multidisciplinary Research is an open access, blind peer-reviewed Journal published by the Scientia Moralitas Research Institute. 

SCIENTIA MORALITAS is a multidisciplinary journal publishing a wide range of high-quality papers in the field of humanities, education, theology, human rights, economics, philosophy, juridical, political and communication sciences, religion, history, current events, legal and social issues, human behavior and so on. 

The Journal is registered with the Library of Congress (DC, USA): ISSN 2472-5331 (Print)  ISSN 2472-5358 (Online) and is published twice a year in both print and online.

The scope of this journal is to unite researchers and academics from all over the world to explore the meaning of human values such as morality, human dignity, freedom and so on.

PEER REVIEW PROCESS

The journal uses a double-blind review system in which both the reviewer and the author are anonymous. The two reviewers from outside and one editor from the journal are typically involved in reviewing the submissions. Manuscripts currently under peer review may not be submitted to another journal. The acceptance of manuscripts is based on originality and scientific content. The manuscripts in which plagiarism is detected will be rejected. The Editor selects the reviewers and makes the final decision on the acceptance or rejection of the manuscript. 

PUBLICATION FREQUENCY

Scientia Moralitas Journal is published with a frequency of two issues per year (July and December) in both print and online versions. 

ARTICLE PROCESSING CHARGES

No article submission charges to be paid by authors at the time of submission.

This journal charges the following author fees: Article Publication: $99 (USD). After acceptance the article will enter the publication process and the author will be asked to pay the Article Publication Fee to cover publications costs.

OPEN ACCESS POLICY

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

The publication is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license.

ARCHIVING

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...

ORIGINALITY AND PLAGIARISM POLICY

By submitting Author(s) manuscript to the journal it is understood that it is an original manuscript and is unpublished work and is not under consideration elsewhere. Plagiarism, including duplicate publication of the author's own work, in whole or in part without proper citation is not tolerated by the journal. All manuscripts submitted to the Scientia Moralitas Journal are actively screened for plagiarism using a plagiarism checker software. The manuscripts in which plagiarism is detected will be rejected.

Plagiarism misrepresents ideas, words, and other creative expressions as one's own. Plagiarism represents the violation of copyright law. Plagiarism appears in various forms.

    • Copying the exact content from the other source. Purposely using portions of another author's paper.
    • Copying elements of another author's paper, such as figures, tables, equations or illustrations that are not common knowledge, or copying or purposely using sentences without citing the source.
    • Using text downloaded from the internet.
    • Copying or downloading figures, photographs, pictures or diagrams without acknowledging your sources.
    • In the case of a publication being submitted that was originally published in another language, the title, date and journal of the original publication must be identified by the authors, and the copyright must be obtained. The editor may accept such a translated publication to bring it to the attention of a wider audience.
    • In case author wants to use material from the other work then it is mandatory to cite the same in references. Else the author needs to change the language completely and use his/ her own language.

ETHICS POLICY

The Scientia Moralitas Journal aims to base its publication on ethical grounds and will reject any form of plagiarism, preserve the confidentiality of submitted work, protect the copyrights of published materials and publish only original content. The Scientia Moralitas Journal endeavors to follow the guidelines and best practice recommendations published by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Authors Responsibilities

All authors must ensure that they have written entirely original work, and if the authors have used the work and/or words of others, they need to make sure that it is appropriately credited and referenced. The author should not submit the same manuscript to more than one Journal. Each person listed as an Author should have contributed significantly to the paper, and agree to be accountable for all aspects related to its accuracy or integrity. It is the responsibility of the first author to ensure the agreement of the other authors to be mentioned as co-authors of the article. The manuscripts submitted to the Scientia Moralitas Journal should follow the Author Guidelines. Plagiarism is considered unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable. The author should notify the editor if a significant error in their publication is identified. Authors should fully disclose related financial interests and outside activities in publications (including articles, abstracts, manuscripts submitted for publication), presentations at professional meetings, and applications for funding. The authors retain copyright and grant the Scientia Moralitas Journal the right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License.

Editor Responsibilities

The editor must ensure that information or ideas regarding manuscripts submitted by the authors must be kept confidential and not used for any personal advantage. A submitted manuscript is confidential material. The Editor must avoid making decisions on manuscripts for which they might have a conflict of interest, financial or otherwise. The editor can reject a paper without reviewing it if he considers that the quality is too low for the journal standards, is out of the journal’s scope, or contains plagiarism, or misappropriation, research standards violations, undisclosed conflicts of interest. Rejected articles will not be re-reviewed.

Reviewers Responsibilities

Reviewers must maintain confidentiality about the manuscripts they review. Reviewers evaluate the submissions based on the requirements of the Scientia Moralitas Journal, predefined criteria, consistency, completeness, and accuracy of the research presented. Reviewers ensure the scientific quality of the manuscript, make an evaluation, suggest improvements and provide a recommendation to the editor about whether to accept, reject or request changes to the article. Reviewers have the right to identify relevant published work that has not been cited in the manuscript by authors. The Editor selects the reviewers and makes the final decision on the acceptance or rejection of the manuscript.
